Dr. Angel Vicente ParedesOn February 20th, 2017, Dr. Angel Vicente Paredes passed away at his winter home in Lima, Peru. Dr. Paredes was born on April 6th, 1934 in Trujillo, Peru. Dr. Paredes graduated from the University of San Marcos School of Medicine in Lima, Peru in 1962. There he met his wife, Lillian Okuyama Bazan and they married in 1962, in Lima, Peru. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Lillian Paredes, son Angel Francisco Paredes, daughter-in-law Elena Paredes, grand daughter Gabriela Paredes, daughter Lillian Carolina Portillo. son-in-law Humberto Portillo and grandson Marco Portillo.Dr. Paredes moved to the United States with his family in 1972 to pursue his dream of practicing medicine in the USA. He practiced in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, for 30 years as a cardiologist and internist. As a doctor, he was much beloved. He enjoyed pleasing and entertaining his friends at home and greatly enjoyed capturing the moment in pictures. Many remember his infinite patience and gentle kindness. His loss is felt deeply by his beloved family, friends and colleagues. A memorial service will be held At St. Peter's the Apostle Church in River Edge, NJ on May 20th, 2017 at 12 noon.
