ANGELA MANNA (nee GRECO) We sadly announce the passing of our beloved mother on Friday, March 10, 2017, in her 95th year, at Humber River Hospital, with her children and grandchildren by her side. Angela married her childhood sweetheart, Francesco, after WWII, until his passing on December 24, 2006. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mary (Mike Giancaspro, passed away on October 23, 2012), Tony and his partner Orna Barginsky, Natalina and her husband Alain Li Chee Ming and Anna Carmela Manna. Cherished grandmother to Kathy Berlino, Mark Giancaspro, Terri Lynn Manna, Christopher Manna, Julien Li Chee Ming and his wife Annie, Adrian Li Chee Ming and Samantha Li Chee Ming. Beloved great-grandmother to Sierra, Alyssa, Vienna, Antonio Berlino, Salena, Luca Giancaspro and Elaina Li Chee Ming. Angela was born on August 23, 1921 in Cosenza, Italy. She immigrated to Canada over 60 years ago. She was employed until she retired in 1986 and spent her retirement looking after her family, planting her garden, especially her 3-foot-long squash vegetables. Her work ethic, her ability to welcome everyone into her home and feed them all her Italian dishes demonstrated her love to all who knew her. Angela will be missed by her family, here and in Cosenza, her brother and sister, nieces, nephews and extended family, and her friends at Villa Colombo, where she resided since 2012. Rest in peace mom and may God keep you in His hands until we meet again. Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine of Canterbury Church (80 Shoreham Dr. - west of Jane St., south of Steeles Ave.) on Thursday, March 16, 2017 (time to be confirmed). Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens (33 Memory Gardens Lane - off Don Mills Rd., south of Steeles Ave.). In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Angela may be made to the SickKids Foundation.
