Angela WilliamsAngela Williams, 53, of Tallahassee, FL, beloved mother, sister, cousin, niece, and friend, passed away on July 18, 2017. A memorial service will be held in her honor at Faith Chapel Pentecostal Church, 108 Henderson Road, Tallahassee, FL, on Friday, July 28th at 10 A.M.Angela, was born on January 12, 1964, to the late Theodore and Joyce Williams in Newark, New Jersey and was the youngest of the couple's five children. The perennial Jersey Girl moved south as a teenager to live with extended family in Tallahassee, FL, where she graduated from Leon High School in 1982. She would go on to honorably serve in the Military Police Corps of the United States Army as an Army Corrections Specialist. Upon her return to civilian life, she worked in a number of private industries before joining the City of Tallahassee where she was employed for 17 years until her retirement in 2012. Angela was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Tallahassee, FL, and at all times, and in all her many roles, exemplified the grace, courage, and quiet strength that were the foundation of her Christian beliefs. She was especially devoted to her two children, Tierroe and Shaniqua, who were her greatest joy. Her family and friends will miss her infectious laugh, her encouragement, and the many small things she did daily which said "I love you."She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved son, Tierroe Peterson of Tallahassee, FL; two brothers, Sidney Thompson (Sharonna) of Sicklerville, NJ and Kelvin A. Williams (Linda) of Tallahassee, FL; four sisters, Carolyn D. Williams of Hercules, CA, Audrey V. Robinson of Tallahassee, FL, Yvette C. Williams of Newark, NJ, and Aquilla P. Williams of Elizabeth, NJ; dear friends, Sabrina Payne, Teresa Jones, Linda Harris, and Tangela Stringer; 5 aunts; 3 uncles; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other friends. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Shaniqua Peterson, in 2008.
