Angelina MaurineSeptember 26, 1928 - November 16, 2014Angelina Maurine1928-2014Angelina "Lena" Juliano Maurine passed away peacefully on November 16, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, at her daughter's home. Lena was born on September 26, 1928 in Vanhouten, New Mexico to James and Agnese Juliano. As a young girl she moved with her family to Helper, Utah and it was there that she met the love of her life, William "Bill" Maurine. They married in 1950 and had four loving daughters. Nothing was more important to Lena than her family and especially her grandkids and great-grandkids; her greatest joy was cooking for them. No one ever left her home hungry. Her beautiful handmade quilts are treasured in each of her family's homes. She had a variety of interests, including going to mass, gambling trips to Wendover and Ft. Hall, crocheting, attending Jazz games with her daughter and son-in-law, watching Denver Bronco games and taking her family's money in weekly poker games. She and Bill traveled the world extensively and especially enjoyed cruising. Lena's first job was at The Strand Theater in Helper, where she caught Bill's eye. Lena started a long and fulfilling career with Farmers Insurance in Pocatello Idaho. She retired from Farmers Insurance at the Regional Office in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She is survived by daughters, Debbie (Harris) Henricksen, Brenda (Kent) Roche, Carrie Coppola, Michele (Jeff) Snelling and grandchildren, Bill (Hathaway) Roche, Chris (Erika) Henricksen, Angeline (Greg) Underwood, Michael (fiancé Danielle Wylie) Roche, Anthony Coppola, Angelina Snelling, Liam Snelling and great -grandchildren Ella Marie and River Ray Henricksen and Harper Julianne Roche. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband and her beloved grand-daughter Julie Ann Roche.The family would like to thank Dr. Matthew Hansen for his many years of care, the care managers at Sunrise at Holladay, and to Solstice Hospice, especially Jolene and Lisa. Your kindness, compassion and immaculate care of our mother are greatly appreciated. The celebration of Lena's life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014. The day will begin with a viewing and rosary at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m., Saint. Ann's Catholic Church, 450 East 2100 South.
