Angelita Villa Garcia, passed away on September 5, 2016 surrounded by loved ones at her home in Brawley, Ca. Angie was born on February 1, 1920 in Holtville CA, to Candelario and Cornelius Villa Garcia. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Solamon Garcia; sister, Esperanza Guerrero; brother, Albert Garcia; sister, Julia Munoz and sister Mary Villegas. She is survived by her sister, Trini Palma; son, Alfredo Guzman; daughter, Yolanda Rodriguez; son, Robert Rodriguez; daughter, Ceceilia Holquin and daughter Cynthia Franco. Angie had 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Angie was a mother to her sisters and brothers, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Angie was employed at the original Pioneers Memorial Hospital. She was also a truck driver for her Fathers Trucking Company, Garcia and Sons Trucking. From there she went to work at the Brawley Senior Citizens Center as the site manager where she later retired. While in her twenties she played softball for the Imperial Valley Girls Softball League" Westmoreland Hunny Bees's" as a pitcher. Angie's life was spent enjoying her family. She loved sharing her life stories with others. She was a selfless woman who always opened her doors and gave to anyone in need. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Fry's Chapel in Brawley from 6 to 9 p.m. Service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 1250 B St. in Brawley, Ca.
