HILLSIDE, IL - Anita Lane Frazier, age 46, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013. Anita was born on December 28, 1966 in Racine, WI, the daughter of Phyllis (Lee) and the late Rev. Frank Frazier. Anita was a graduate of William Horlick High School in Racine, Wisconsin, the class of 1985 and attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She moved to Chicago, IL in 1990. Anita led a very exciting and productive life! Anita was employed at Carroll Seating Company for 23 years as an office manager where she helped create a family atmosphere with her co-workers. She volunteered her time as a mentor with Teens of Tomorrow helping with schoolwork, road trips and being a general big sister. She was also the Treasurer of West Side Connection/Million Women March in Chicago, IL, because she could really handle money. Anita accepted Christ in her life. She attended Rock of Ages Baptist Church. Anita was also a world traveler exploring many other cultures to include Mexico, Ghana, West Africa, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and many other locations. She was a World Class shopper and really enjoyed entertaining all her friends and family at her famous holiday celebrations. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Anita realized they met a warm, loving, giving, gifted and bossy woman. Above all, Anita was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will always be missed with a smile. Anita leaves to cherish her memory her beloved mother, Phyllis Frazier, four sisters, April Lee of Racine, WI, Arnetta Frazier of Chicago, IL, Arletta (Myron) Tucker of Racine, WI, Angela Frazier of Chicago, IL, one brother, Antonio (Shanna) Pegues of Cordova, TN, two nephews, Jauqius Frazier-Buckman of Chicago, IL and Malik Frazier of Racine, WI, her sister-cousin, Michele Frazier of Phoenix, AZ and special childhood friend, Georgette Jordan of Milwaukee, WI and a host of loving relatives and wonderful friends. Her father and one brother, Franklin Frazier, precede her in death. The celebration of Anitas life will be on February 28, 2013 at Alpine Banquet Haus, 11141 W. Roosevelt, Westchester, IL at 5 pm. The family will hold a private family service at a later date, arranged by Johnson-Miller Funeral Chapel in Bellwood Illinois.
