Mrs. Anita Theon Kirkland Guy, 62, formerly of Salisbury, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem. Born Sep. 18, 1955 in Rowan County, to Barbara Kirkland Rippy of Orlando, Fla. Anita was educated in the public schools of Rowan County and was a graduate of Salisbury High School and the Florida School of Nursing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Guy; and granddaughter, Gabrielle Anita Guy. She leaves precious and loving memories to her children, Donald" D.J." Guy of Salisbury, Dawn Guy of Winston-Salem, and LaVar Guy of Salisbury; mother, Barbara K. Rippy of Orlando, Fla; brothers, Aaron (Diane) Briggs and Raymond Briggs both of Orlando, Fla., and Master Sgt. Monte (Hali) Briggs of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Quintina (Frederick) Johnson of Charlotte, Natalia Little of Charlotte, and Juliette Rippy of Gainesville, Fla.; grandchildren, Laila Rai Guy and LaVar Ramon Guy, Jr; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Arrangements; Services will be held on Wednesday, April 4, at the A.R. Kelsey Memorial Chapel Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation at 6 p.m., and funeral at 6:30 p.m., Rev.
