Ann Baer MooreAGE: 69 • New CastleAnn Baer Moore, 69, of New Castle, DE passed away on January 22, 2017 at LifeCare Hospitals of Chester County. Ann was born on July 21, 1947 in New Freedom, PA and was the daughter of the late Wilfred O. and Christine Baer.Ann graduated in 1965 from Centerville High School. She was employed as an office manager for a concrete contractor until her retirement. Ann was a member of Hope Lutheran church in New Castle, DE and took pleasure in her volunteer work with Sarah Circle. She enjoyed cooking, canning from her garden, reading and visiting with family and friends. Her greatest joy was caring for others, and above all her faith, family and friends.Surviving her is son Michael Moore of Townsend, DE; daughter Michelle Howard (Mike) of Nashville, TN; sisters Vicki Berrier (Bruce) of Easton, MD , Abby Sissom of Hollywood, FL and brother-in-law Jim Verticchio of Easton, MD; grandchildren Jessica and Rebekah Howard; niece Angela Brooke (George) and children Dominic, Nicholas, and Matthew; nieces Brooke Berrier and Laura Sissom; nephews Ross Verticchio, Logan Berrier and Vincent Sissom; Richard Moore and Joseph Edwards. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jayne Verticchio.The family will receive friends and family on Friday, January 27 at Hope Lutheran Church, 230 Christiana Road, New Castle, DE from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., service at 5:00 pm, and a reception to follow. Interment will be on Saturday, January 28 at 12:00 noon at Stewartstown Cemetery, 70 Cemetery Avenue, Stewartstown, PA 17363.Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hope Lutheran Church, 230 Christiana Road, New Castle, DE 19720.
