Beringer, Ann (Nee Kissinger) Ann Kissinger Beringer will be remembered as a remarkable mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. Ann passed away after a brief illness on May 31, 2017. Ann was born on October 13, 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Alma and Allen Kissinger. She graduated from Milwaukee Downer College, now Lawrence University, with a degree in the liberal arts. She entered the management training program at AT&T in 1955, where she returned to work in the 1980's. Over the course of the coming years, Ann lived in Chicago and Clarendon Hills IL, Bayside WI, and Dunwoody GA before moving to Boulder in 2008. She married William Beringer in 1956 and was the most beloved mother of three: Amy Beringer (Grubb) of Boulder, Julie Beringer (Jermon) of Western Springs IL and Tom Beringer of Edina, MN and mother-in-law of John Grubb, Bob Jermon and Catherine Cregan Beringer. Ann was the treasured grandmother of five: Will and Emily Grubb and Annika, Gus and Mimi Beringer. Ann was an employee of AT&T for twenty years in Chicago and Atlanta. She was also an active civic volunteer - through AAUW, the Girl Scouts, the Milwaukee Museum, the Northside Children's Hospital - Atlanta library, along with many church activities. Ann was known for her great love of books and history as well as her kindness and generosity. She will be greatly missed by a wide circle of friends and family. A memorial service will be held at a future date to be announced.
