Ann Marie Delabar, age 60, passed away on September 27, 2016 in her home at White Mountain Estates, surrounded by her family after a short and intense battle with uterine cancer. Ann was born on August 29, 1956 in Lansing, MI. She was the first child to Ann and William "Bill" Shilling. She graduated from Wilcox High School in Sunnyvale, CA in 1974. She met her first husband, Bruce Allen Swearingen, while working for Cal-Gas (now known as Ameri-Gas). Bruce and Ann were married September 3, 1981 in Carson City, NV. Together they had two daughters, Roxann Marie and Elissa Lorene. They soon moved from Truckee, CA to Rovanna where she worked as a school bus driver for Round Valley Elementary. Her first husband passed away on September 3,1989 after a long battle with leukemia. Ann continued to live and raise her daughters in Rovanna where she met the man she would choose to spend the rest of her life with.Ann met Jim "JD" Delabar in 1989 through mutual friends. He asked her out to dinner and that was the start of a long and beautiful relationship. After 16 years of being together, they finally made it official and got married on September 23, 2006 in Reno, NV. During their 26 years together they enjoyed fishing, camping, going to concerts, spending time with friends and family and playing horseshoes. Most recently they enjoyed long rides on their Polaris RZR and spending weekends at Carson Valley Inn where they received "VIP" treatment.Ann Marie had many accomplishments in her life. She was an artist, a business owner, a softball player, a homeowner, a hard worker, a bowler, a State horseshoe champion, a devoted wife, a loving mother and a great friend. Ann is preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Shilling, her first husband, Bruce Swearingen and her sister, Gwen Shilling. Ann is survived by her husband, Jim "JD" Delabar; her mother and stepfather, Ann and Gary Schilling; her two daughters ,Roxann and Elissa Swearingen; Jim's daughters, Keisha Taylor, Rochelle and Cheryl Delabar; her younger brother, William Robert "Rob" Shilling and youngest sister, Jill Stawiarski. She is also survived by five nieces and three nephews. Her joy, love, laugh and compassion will be greatly missed by her family and many friends, but the memories of her will live on in our hearts.The family of Ann Delabar would like to thank the Pioneer Home Health staff.
