VECCHITTO, ANNA (CORSINO) Anna (Corsino) Vecchitto, 98, of Middletown died peacefully on November 9, 2016. Anna was born on April 19, 1918 in Middletown. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Vecchitto, Sr. Anna was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nancy (Magnano) Corsino. She was the eldest of four children. Anna worked at Park Fashion in New Britain as a seamstress for many years. During World War II she worked at Fafnir Bearing. Once the war ended, she married Joe. She enjoyed helping out with the family’s Italian ice business. Ann’s pride and joy was her sons, Guy and Joseph. She supported them in all their endeavors. She always looked forward to her daily walk down Main Street for that cup of coffee with the girls. Anna leaves behind sons Guy and his wife Karen Vecchitto, Joseph and his wife Rose Vecchitto and six grandchildren: Brian, Melanie, Joseph, Michael, Courtney and Christopher; a brother, John Corsino and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Paul and Sam Corsino, predeceased her. Anna was active in St. Sebastian’s Church and was a member of the St. Theresa Guild. We would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Middlesex Hospital Hospice & Palliative Care unit for their loving and special care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Sebastian Renovation or Middlesex Hospital Hospice & Palliative Care unit. Calling hours are Friday November 11, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at D’Angelo Funeral Home in Middletown. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, November 12, 2016 at 9:00 am from D’Angelo Funeral Home followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:00am at St. Sebastian’s Church.
