Anna Mae Consoli1924-2016ANNA MAE ZOE ELIZABETH MATRANGA CONSOLI, 92, of Houston, Texas passed away Tuesday, the 18th of October 2016. Anna was born on the 21st of September 1924 in Houston, Texas to Paul and Mary Matranga. As a young girl, she sang often at weddings and occasionally on the radio. She also sang for the service men at Ellington Field. Anna was heavily involved with the Houston Italian Festival and a dedicated member to many social clubs including Neo Debs, Maria Del Balzo, Ladies of Sacred Heart, St. Theresa Catholic Church, Stalag 17B Kriegies Club, and the Garden Club of Timbergrove/Lazybrook. Although she was constantly on the go, Anna always found time for the things she loved such as gardening, playing cards, dancing, and spending time with friends and family. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Sam Consoli; and sister, Mary Pauline Porcarello. She is survived by her sons, Vincent Sam Consoli Jr., of Houston, David Joseph Consoli and wife Roseanna, of Sugar Land, and Paul John Consoli and wife Marion, of Houston; daughter, Pauline Elizabeth Leaumont and husband Robert, of Missouri City; grandchildren, Tiffiny and partner Stacey Schaeffer, DJ and wife Stephanie, Bob, Matthew, Brian and wife Ashlee, Jeff, Stephen and Nicholas; great grandchildren, Joey, Alyssa, Adriana, Ava, Quinn, Dominic, Vincent and Isabella; eleven nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews; and great great-nieces and great great-nephews.Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from half past five o'clock in the afternoon until half past eight o'clock in the evening on Monday, the 24th of October in the grand foyer and the Jasek chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where the recitation of the Holy Rosary by Neo Debs, is to commence at seven o'clock The Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered at eleven o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 25th of October, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street in Houston. The Rite of Committal is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston. Those honored to serve as casket bearers during Tuesday's service are Bob Leaumont Jr., D.J. Consoli Jr., Matthew Leaumont, Brian Leaumont, Jeff Leaumont, Stephen Consoli, Nicholas Consoli, and Anthony Porcarello.Honorary pallbearers are Sam Spedale, Sammy Spedale Jr. Joey Consoli, Quinn Leaumont, Frank D'Amico, Nash D'Amico, Sam D'Amico, Frank Petronella, Bernard Petronella, Charles Petronella, and Ronald Petronella.The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the nursing staff of St. Joseph's Medical Center Downtown; CIMA Hospice, Christine Martin, RN, for her dedication to service and compassionate counsel and advice; also, Misty Esparza and Marla McCarty for their commitment to Anna at home; and Lorena Castaneda for many years of service as a loyal and devoted housekeeper.
