April 6, 2016 – November 4, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of my niece, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Anna Marie Diggs, who passed away peacefully on November 4, 2024, at the age of 8, after a courageous battle with a brain tumor. Though Anna's time with us was far too short, the love and joy she brought into our lives will never be forgotten.
Born on April 6, 2016, Anna was a bright, beautiful, and spirited little girl who touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laughter was infectious, and her smile could light up any room. Anna had a special way of making everyone around her feel loved and valued, and she shared her endless enthusiasm for life with everyone she met.
Anna was passionate about many things, and her vibrant spirit shone in everything she did. She had an enduring love for horses, dreaming of one day riding her own horse through fields of flowers. She spent countless hours drawing horses, watching videos of them, and imagining the adventures she would have.
A devoted fan of Taylor Swift, Anna could always be found singing her heart out to her favorite songs, with a voice full of sweetness and joy. She loved dancing just as much, spinning and twirling to the rhythm of the music. Whether she was performing in the living room or singing along to her favorite tunes, Anna and i attended Taylor's performance in our hometown of Foxburough on May 21st, of 2023. That was one of the best moments I ever had with sweet Anna, and I miss her dearly.
Above all, Anna was a loving daughter to her parents, Lauren and Michael Diggs, a wonderful older cousin to my daughters Maya and Stevie and a devoted little sister to her big brother, Justin. Her family was everything to her, and she created lasting memories with each one of them, always showing them the true meaning of love, kindness, and laughter.
Anna's memory will be cherished by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and the many friends whose lives she brightened with her presence. Her teachers, classmates, and everyone who knew her will remember her as a girl who brought light into their world and whose warmth and compassion touched their hearts.
A celebration of Anna's life will be held on Saturday November 9th, in her hometown, with a reception to follow at the Diggs family home. We are not asking for money, as we have the costs covered. We just felt we should send her away with a good story.
Although Anna's life was far too brief, the love she shared with us will remain forever in our hearts. Her spirit, joy, and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Anna, you will always be our bright star, and we will love you forever.
Rest in peace, sweet Anna. You are forever loved and missed.
