Anna Alberta WilsonNovember 12, 2016Anna Alberta Wilson, 90, of Cape Coral, Florida, affectionately known as "Tommie," "Bert" and "Boppa" to family and friends, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016. Anna was born on September 14, 1926 in Knoxville, TN to the late Lee and Eva Widener. She graduated from high school in Florence, AL in 1944 and put herself through college where she graduated with an Associate's degree in Business Management. Anna went on to become the Director of Operations of Montgomery Ward where she worked for thirty-five years. Anna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and took tremendous pride in her family. Anna was an avid reader, and loved discussing world news, economics, and politics. She will be remembered for her very generous and giving heart, her Southern cooking, her storytelling and her love of singing, albeit off-key! Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Don E. Wilson, and a son, Don E. Wilson, Jr. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Beverly Myer of Fort Myers, Michael (Mary) Wilson of Elkhart, Indiana, William Wilson of NC, and Nancy (David) Vieceli of Cape Coral. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Barbara Wilson, Linda Wilson, Michelle Wilson, Stacy Wilson, Stevie Wilson Faz, Matthew Vieceli, and Andrew Vieceli, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her sister, Ada Matthews of Sheffield, AL. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, FL.
