Annabelle "Anne" Mangum Kline passed away November 7th in the home of her daughter and son in law from terminal cancer. She was born on December 27, 1936 daughter to Roy and Mabel Mangum. Graduated from Elgin High School in 1955. She worked early on at the Elgin Watch Factory. She married Gerald "Jerry" Kline on May 18, 1963 at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Anne was a homemaker and stay at home mom. She decided after her last child was almost thru high school to return to the work force. Employed as receptionist at Burren Transfer from 1990 until the business closed in 1999. Then went to work for the City of Genoa from April 2000 until she retired February 2011. After retiring she took painting classes and enjoyed making her fresh flower arrangements. Garage sales and flea markets were fun searching for treasures. Anne couldn't pass up a bargain and never would pay full price. She also had a great group of lady friends Bevia, Char, Nancy, Patty and Phoebe she would laugh, play cards and many dinner outings on regular basis. She will be deeply missed by her son: Jerry (Laura) Kline; daughter: Marcie (Matt) Lobben; and grandchildren: Rhett & Carly Kline. Also by many family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, husband; Jerry; in Jan 2007 and brother: Bill Mangum in Sept 2016. She was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan. She did get to see them win the World Series and said "finally"! A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will follow in the Genoa Cemetery, Genoa, IL.
