Annamaria Adella Elaine Kumar-Diaz, 49, passed away and went to heaven on May 3, 2024. Born in Sacramento, California, on August 5, 1974, to Lydia O’Donnell and Johnny Ray Diaz, Anna led a life characterized by her unwavering commitment to her family and community.She leaves behind a legacy of love and nurturing as a mother to Marcelina Anna Vidal, Marcelia Anna Vidal, Alex Ray Diaz, Liliana Shemar Kumar, Sandra Christine Blackburn-Diaz, and Andrew Brighton Moran-Diaz. Her joy as a grandmother was multiplied with her three grandchildren, Angelina Xena-Anna Vidal, Evangelina Vidal, and Evelyna Marissa Kumar-Tillman. Anna will also be fondly remembered by all of her family and friends. During her life for 18 years, Anna served as a nurse assistant, a role in which she exemplified compassion and dedication. Her life was marked by the admirable challenge of raising her six children as a single mother, a journey she navigated with grace and resilience. Her love knew no bounds, and it was most evident in the joy she found in simple pleasures like family bike rides, camping trips, fishing excursions, and the shared quietude of long walks. She frequently donated her time to food banks and sought to uplift those less fortunate. Her humility and down-to-earth nature were her trademarks, alongside the striking red lipstick and eyeliner she wore, a testament to her vibrant personality. She cherished spending time with her family and creating lasting memories with her children.
Anna now joins her beloved mother Lydia O’Donnell, her father Johnny Ray Diaz, grandma Maria Alvarado and Francine O’Donnell, grandfather Kenneth O’Donnell in Heaven.
A viewing will be held at Morgan Jones Funeral Home, 4200 Broadway, Sacramento, CA, on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, from 4 PM to 6 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for the following day, Friday, May 17th, 2024, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the same location. Burial services will be at St. Mary’s Cemetary and Funeral Services, 6509 Fruitridge Road Sacramento,Ca. 95820 on Friday May 17, 2024 at 1:00pm.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
