It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Anne Killian, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Anne peacefully departed this world on July 29, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. Born on March 8, 1950, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Anne touched the lives of everyone she encountered throughout her remarkable journey.
Anne was a woman of unwavering strength and unwavering faith. Her genuine kindness and compassionate nature were unrivaled, and she dedicated her life to helping others. Anne had a profound love for her family and friends, holding them close to her heart in all that she did.
Anne was a beacon of light, putting everyone else's needs before her own. Her selflessness extended beyond her immediate circle, as she devoted countless hours to various community organizations. She was actively involved in numerous charitable initiatives, always striving to make the world a better place for those less fortunate.
Anne's love for education led her to become a devoted teacher. For over four decades, she played an integral role in shaping the lives of countless young minds. As an educator, she inspired her students to strive for greatness and instilled in them a hunger for knowledge that would stay with them forever.
In her spare time, Anne enjoyed immersing herself in the wonders of literature. She had an insatiable thirst for books, spending countless hours getting lost in different worlds and characters. Anne leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her children: Sarah (Robert) Thompson, Michael (Jennifer) Killian, and Emily (John) Davis. Anne was also adored by her six grandchildren: Ethan, Olivia, Ava, Benjamin, Amelia, and Grace.
We invite all who knew and loved Anne to join us in a celebration of her life at a memorial service to be held on August 9th, 2023, at the Broken Arrow Community Church. In honor of Anne's legacy, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the local library or any literacy-based charity of your choosing.
