Annie Ellison, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on July 16, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on August 30, 1939, to Albert Ellison and Mattie Sanders who both preceded her in death. Annie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend.

Annie gave birth to six children: Joyce Brocks (spouse Jerome Pete) and Dexter Brocks (both preceded her in death) and is survived by Bonita Bracy (spouse Lonnie Richardson), Bryan Bracy, Carl Brocks, and Billy Sanders. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Lonnie, Lonnesha, Sasha (BREAKFAST), Jerome, Lonnay’e, Carlesha, Sakinah as well as a host of great grands!

Annie worked at Rush Medical Center and retired in 2001. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, cooking, and spending time with her family. She had a zest for life that was infectious to all who knew her.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace, Annie.
