Anthony Allen MartinShreveport, LA - Mr. Anthony Allen Martin, 66, of Shreveport, passed away due to cardiac arrest at United Health in Shreveport on October 31, 2017. Anthony was born on November 26, 1950 in Norman, OK to Noel Quentin Martin and Hazel Carlotta Bath Martin. He attended Red River High School in Grand Forks, ND. Anthony enlisted in the Air Force in 1972. He was an Avionics / Navigation Equipment Specialist and was Honorable Discharged in June 1976. Following the service, he worked with Air-Flite Avionics. Anthony then entered into his true passion of music in Shreveport / Bossier City and across the nation with many professional music artists. He worked through the years with Custom Sound, MP Productions, Adlib Sound Services, Athalon Group, the Strand Theatre and Martin by Design; all the while, learning and mentoring in the field. Anthony also pursued a Sociology/Mathematics degree at LSUS, and Sociology graduate studies at LSU.Anthony loved music and travel, but above all he loved being a grandfather to Ashlynn. He will be missed by his two loving children, Captain Anthony Allen Martin Jr. (Leslie) and Melanie Reneé Martin Jones(Danny); his mother, Hazel Carlotta Bath Martin; and three siblings, Dr. Noel Quentin Martin II(Barbara), Lawrence Michael Martin, and Christopher Paul Martin. He was preceded in death by father, Noel Quentin Martin and brother, Jeffrey Lynn Martin.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 10a.m. at United Outreach Church, 456 Waller Ave., Bossier City, LA with Pastor Gregory Shyne officiating. Burial will follow at 12 noon at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Road, Keithville, LA.
