Anthony Joseph Arnold Upayaq Berlin Obituary

Jul 15, 2004 - Aug 03, 2022

This obituary is administered by:

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith" 2 Timothy 4:7

Anthony Berlin, 18, of Nunapitchuk, Alaska, passed on August 03, 2022. Anthony was born on July 15, 2004 to Mary Berlin and Darryl Sergie. He is the second oldest of two brothers and five sister, Dontae, Jordyn, Tiana, Madison, Randall, Alaina and Layla. Anthony was also cared for, and very much loved by his "Auna" Nancy Hill and "Uppa" Jack Phelps, who fostered him after his release from the hospital. And Marshal for caring for him until he left.

Anthony was an inspiration and touched the lives of many throughout his fight of learning to be mobile and learning daily physical activities we take for granted. He was known as a fighter, lover and a "Go getter." Anthony lived his life as if every second counted, he didn't look at the negative side of life and lived each day new. We should not grieve but instead celebrate for his fight he has won, for completing his journey God had planned for him, for having faith, hope and love, even under his condition.

"The day you died the musical score of my life was forever changed. A sad undertone was added. Some days it is very loud. Some days it is very soft. But it is always there. I am thankful for the days when I can hear the joyful melody of life. I will listen to your song forever in my heart"

On behalf of our dear Anthony Joseph Arnold Berlin, we would like to thank all the care takers from Providence, Alaska Native Medical Center, HOPE Respite Care. Nunapitchuck LTD, City of Nunapitchuk. IRA for donations, Frank Nicholai for making his coffin and cross, Desa Charles, Cherilyn Jacobs and Sister Jordyn Berlin for decorating his coffin, Grandma Mom Sophia Sergie for opening her home and everyone that helped with food, cleaning and family support. Also Maria Berlin for helping with obituary. We felt the love. Quyana.
