Anthony Smith, beloved husband, father, and Staff Sergeant, passed away peacefully on June 10th, 2023 at the age of 73 in Washington DC. Born on January 1st, 1950, to Carl and Marcia Smith, Anthony lived a life full of laughter, love, and adventure.

After graduating from Eastern High School in 1968, Anthony served in the US Army and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a proud and dedicated soldier who served his country with honor and distinction.

In the year 20, he married the love of his life, Tonya Smith, and together they had one child, Beverly Benetton, who is now married to David Benetton. Anthony adored his daughter and son-in-law and cherished the time he spent with them.

Anthony was known for his kind heart and infectious smile. He had a passion for fishing, and he loved nothing more than spending time on the water with his friends and family. He had a great sense of humor and could always be counted on to lighten the mood with a joke or a funny story.

Anthony's passing was attributed to lung cancer, but his spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed, but we take solace in knowing that he is fishing in the big pond in the sky. Rest in peace, Anthony.
