Anthony Paul FinchCamarillo, CAAnthony Paul Finch, 66, formerly of Camarillo, passed away on Friday, March 10. Anthony was born on November 27, 1950 in El Paso, Texas to Charles and Louise Finch. A proud Eagle Scout, Anthony was a graduate of Camarillo High School in 1969, where he led the Camarillo High School Knowledge Bowl Team to regional championships in 1968 and 1969. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California Berkeley in 1973. He went on to earn a Master of Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1975 and received his Doctorate in Political Science from the Universite de Geneve in 1991. He was a 1984 Salzburg Global Seminar fellow.Anthony was truly a global citizen who spoke fluent French, Portuguese, and German. His love of teaching and adventurous spirit led him to travel the world. He taught International Baccalaureate courses in history and English in Germany, Brazil, South Korea, and China. He authored a novel, A Road High and Low. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his beloved Regina; his sister Marilyn; and five brothers Arthur, Charles, Michael, Mark, and G.A. Finch. Family and friends are invited to graveside funeral services to be held on Saturday, March 25 at 2:30 P.M. at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park on 2052 Howard Rd. in Camarillo.
