DINARDO Antoinette Rose (nee Buccafusco), 90, of Emerson, formerly of Teaneck and Jersey City, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2017. Before retiring, Ann was a cook in the rectories at St. Paul of the Cross and St. Aedan's churches in Jersey City. Most recently, she was a parishioner of St. Anastasia Church in Teaneck. Antoinette was born on May 16, 1926 to the late Gerlando and Josephine Buccafusco. She attended the Jersey City Public Schools and graduated from Dickinson High School in 1943. She waited patiently for her future husband, the late John B. Dinardo, to return home from war before they could wed on November 23, 1946-a marriage that would ultimately last 65 years. She and John raised two children, Maria and John, in Jersey City before moving to Teaneck in 1983. Antoinette was fiercely devoted to two things: God and family. She was a Daughter of Mary, a member of the Holy Rosary Society, and an annual fixture in the zeppole tent at the SPOC summer carnival. In her later years, she reveled in her time as a grandmother to Roy (Terry), John, Joseph (Tram), Michael (Jessica), Jessica (Clifton), Matthew, Christina and as a great-grandmother to Roy Jr., Van, and baby Rose. She kept everyone well fed for many years with homemade lasagna, eggplant, and meatballs. Antoinette and John hosted their family annually during a barbeque feast for more than two decades each Labor Day weekend. Her kind nature, strong faith, and generosity will live on within those whom she held dear. Antoinette is survived by her daughter, Maria Corso (Rosario) of Franklin Lakes, NJ and son, John Dinardo of Berkley Heights, NJ. She is also survived by her sister, Angelina Scerbo of Wareham, MA, brother, Salvatore Buccafusco of Belmar, NJ, sisters-in-law, Mickey Buccafusco, Frances Dansereau, Angelina Dinardo, and Angela Petrillo, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, parents, brothers Vincent, Dominic, Joseph, and Tony and by sisters Anna, Minnie, Victoria, and Mary. Family will receive friends on Thursday January 19, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home followed by a 10:00 Funeral Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church, 400 Maywood Avenue, Maywood. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Antoinette 's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
