Schultz, Anton "Tony"Anton "Tony" Schultz, 90, passed away peacefully into eternal life on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Woodside Lutheran Nursing Home in Ashwaubenon, surrounded by his son Randy Schultz's family.It is with heavy hearts but fondest of memories that we lay to rest our beloved father, grandfather, and great friend. Tony was born on October 10, 1926 in the town of Kossuth, to the late Emil and Helen (Petska) Schultz. On January 25, 1947 Tony married Corinne Stehn his loving wife of 59 years until her passing on November 8, 2006. Tony and Corinne lived in Manitowoc and were longtime members of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.Tony worked on his father's dairy farm as a young man and later went to work for the U.S. Postal Service, from which he eventually retired. Tony also worked a second job for many years to support his growing family. He was a hard-working dedicated family man, a loving husband to Corinne, and a great father to his six children whom he taught by example what it was to be a person of character and integrity.Tony will be missed by his church family, who rejoice in his faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior and are comforted by the sure hope of the resurrection to eternal life. He was a dear friend who encouraged others by his thankful trust in God in all circumstances.Tony is survived by his six children: Susan (Jerry) Hitchler, Oconomowoc; Robert (Linda) Schultz, Norcross, GA; Randy (Colleen) Schultz, Green Bay; Dan Schultz, Manitowoc; Kym Schultz, Mequon; Karen (Bill) Verbos, New Berlin; six grandchildren: Eric, Jon and Emily Schultz of Green Bay, Danielle Schultz of Manitowoc, Charlie and Andy Verbos of New Berlin; one brother-in-law: Wallace (Mary) Mercer, Bonita Springs, FL, plus many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Corinne, his two sisters and one brother-in-law: Ruth Ann Mercer and Viola (Robert) Gauger, and his brother 2nd Lieutenant Raymond Schultz who was killed in action in Germany during WWII at 19 years of age.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2426 N. Rapids Road, Manitowoc. The Rev. Thomas Pankow will officiate with entombment at the Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name for Grace Ev.
