Antwon Rufus, 47, of Syracuse, New York, passed on October 01, 2023. Antoine Rufus, engineer and life-long resident of Syracuse died unexpectedly on October 1, 2023 at the age of 47

Antoine is survived by his parents; his children, Shaqill Giles and Chris Rufus : his grandmother, Lisa Rufus; and his grandfather, Robert rufus . He is predeceased by his brother, Mark Rufus ; his grandmother, Laura Rufus, Antoine was born in Syracuse on October 31, 1975 , he welcomed his kids, who were the most important part of his life. Antoine was a devoted father an avid skier. He being with his family, traveled to 33 countries, and was an amateur mandolin player. He often played at local coffee shops and was known as a skilled and intuitive musician among his avid listeners. He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He was a spiritual man and involved in many church activities, including playing the mandolin during services. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on October 6 at the Farone & Son Reverend James Clark will officiate. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 1500 Park St, Syracuse NY 13208
