Archie W. SawyerArchie Wesley Sawyer, 95, of Logan, Utah, passed away at Legacy House on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013. He was born on Feb. 22, 1918, to Weston Levi Sawyer and Eva Alexandra Roy in Canada. Archie served in the Army during World War II in Italy. He married Coravine Ottley on June 23, 1951. Arch & Cory lived in Salt Lake City for two years before moving to Logan in 1956. Archie was a field engineer for Burroughs Corp. in the computer industry. He was a handyman and could fix anything. He loved the ocean and especially going to San Diego in the motor home with his loving wife, Cory, where they formed many happy memories.He enjoyed gardening and trips to Tony Grove in Logan Canyon. His eyes always lit up when he was with his great-grandbabies.He is survived by his son, Wes Sawyer; his daughters, Rebecca (Roland) Oliver & Rosemary (Gary) Johnson; his brother, Tom (Deloris) Sawyer; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.Thanks and gratitude from Archie's family to the employees and staff of Legacy House, Integrity Home Heath & Hospice for their loving care and compassionate service to our father.Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, Dec. 21 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 E. 400 North in Logan. A viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the same location. Interment will directly follow at the Logan City Cemetery.
