Aretha Denise Pittman , 72, passed on June 30th 2022.
She was born to Earl Pittman and Naomi Gilson in Minneapolis, Minnesota on January 09, 1950.

She married Dennis Pittman IV and they lived together in Mankato, Minnesota. Together they raised 2 children Toni (Brown) Pittman (Kevin Brown ), Agatha Pittman . She had no grandchildren but she did have 3 nieces that she loved, ( Mya Mothershed), ( Tamkia Mothershed ) and ( Laila Jones ) made from her younger sister Sandra Mothershed. 

Aretha graduated from Roosevelt High School and received a degree from the University of Minnesota in 2001.

Aretha worked at Regions Hospital as a charge nurse until she retired in 2016 at the age of 65.

Aretha loved helping others, growing up her mother would often take in other children from the streets and provide them with a hot meal, clothing and shelter if they needed it. Aretha took these experiences from childhood and always helped people she saw in needed without any judgment.
Aretha loved family gatherings, cooking at home or eating out, shopping with her niece Mya, and going to church every Sunday. She was such a big part of all of her families lives speaking knowledg, wisdom, encouragement and spreading love always. She will be missed dearly.

She is preceded in death by her father Dennis Pittman IV and her sister Sandra Mothershed. 

Aretha Denise Pittman passed at Mankato Mayo Clinic Health at the age of 72 on June 30th 2022. - a day of rest
