Arlene Rose (Stortini) Glisson Arlene passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on September 2nd, 2017. Arlene was born on October 29th, 1934, in Tacoma, WA and attended Stadium High School. In her younger years, she enjoyed going to movies, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. She met her husband Leroy on a blind date and together they started a wonderful family. Arlene could be found at every one of her children's and grandchildren's events. Everyone looked forward to spending time over at Arlene's as they knew games, laughter, good food and, most of all, unconditional love awaited them. Arlene had a gift for making people feel special. She was a steady shoulder to lean on and always had an ear to bend. Her love and smile will be dearly missed. Arlene is survived by her sister Vickie (Ray) Ash, brother Joe (Carol) Stortini, brother Kenny (Josie) Stortini, sister-in-law Carolyn Stortini, brother-in-law Vernon (Carolyn) Glisson, children Gary (Mary Jo) Glisson, Diane (Kelly) Bendixen, Michele (Mike) Madden, grandchildren Jennifer, Valerie, Stephanie, Ashley, Zach, Danielle, and Bryce and great grandchildren Nevaeh, Isabella, Cara, Lyric, Gabriella, Carly, Dean, and Luke. Arlene will be joining in heaven her husband Roy Glisson, parents Joseph and Josephine Stortini, sister Gloria Jenkins and nephew Joey Ash. As the family matriarch, Arlene set an excellent example of how to be a great mother/grandma/Nana. She had a heart of gold and held a special place in anyone's life who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be reunited with her honey and dance in heaven! We would like to thank Hearthside Manor for the amazing care they provided Mom, the love they showed our whole family will forever be cherished. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 9th, at Calvary Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. with a reception following at Joeseppi's Restaurant. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association or in Arlene's name.
