Lloyd, ArleneIt is with great sadness to announce the passing of Arlene W. (Newbold) Lloyd on Thursday 24 August 2017 at the age of 89. Arlene's death comes as a great surprise only recently being diagnosed with ovarian cancer in July of 2017.She was born on 24 April 1928 in Williamson County Illinois, to Roy and Bonnie (Davis) Newbold. Arlene lived in Baraboo Wisconsin prior to being placed in foster homes. Later moving to Kaukauna Wisconsin and Oshkosh Wisconsin with her foster families. She married Charles L. Lloyd of Oshkosh.Arlene was employed by the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and the Oshkosh School System including Oshkosh High School and, Perry A Tipler Middle School, were she worked in food service. Arlene was known for her love of cooking, baking and gardening. She and her family had large gardens, growing enough produce to provide for many neighbors and friends. Arlene canned much of the families produce and always had home baked goods in the freezer. When Arlene was in her early fifties she and her daughter found Arlene's relatives and enjoyed many years visiting with her aunts and cousins in Southern Illinois and St Charles Illinois. In the later years Arlene frequently attended bingo and cribbage games at the Oshkosh Senior Center. Where she proudly scored a winning cribbage hand of 29. Survivors include daughter Sherry Lloyd of Madison, Wisconsin, a sister-in-law Thelma LeBeck of Weatherford, Texas and many nieces and nephews from the Lloyd family. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Chuck) Lloyd and son Larry Lloyd of Oshkosh, brothers-in-law Eugene, William, Robert, Kenneth, Louis Lloyd, and sister-in-law Connie Wambold.A funeral service for Arlene will be held at Seefeld Funeral and Cremation Services, on Tuesday 29 August 2017 at 11:00 A.M, with Reverend Neil Wilson of River Valley Church officiation. A visitation for friends and family will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. A private burial will take place on Wednesday 20 August 2017 at Lake View Cemetery of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you consider donating to a .
