Schilf, Arlene MaidaArlene Maida Schilf, age 84, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Barrett House in Ripon.She was born on Good Friday, April 14, 1933, to Edward Reinhold and Metta Enona (Starks) Bohn on their family farm east of Hancock, Township of Deerfield, Waushara County, WI.Arlene was baptized on May 14, 1933, by the Reverend Otto Renner in the Grace Lutheran Church in the Township of Deerfield. She was confirmed in 1947, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Brandon, WI, by the Reverend Henry Kurtz.She attended country grade schools, Fish Lake and North Deerfield in the Township of Deerfield, Waushara County; Union Prairie, in the Township of Springfield, Fond du Lac County and Prairie View in the Township of Green Lake, Green Lake County, before moving to Berlin.Arlene married Carroll E. Schilf, son of Elmer A. and Agnes E. (Albrecht) Schilf on June 25, 1955, in Grace Lutheran Church in Berlin, WI, with the Reverend Harold D. Gluth officiating. They were married 61 years. She belonged to the Mayflower Society under her ancestors, Richard Warren and William Bradford. Her hobbies were researching her family history, where she found many interesting ancestors. Arlene enjoyed embroidering, free hand drawing, traveling and camping. She was employed at Ripon Foods Inc. for about 25 years. Arlene was a member of Our Saviour's United Church of Christ.Arlene is survived by her loving husband, Carroll and son, Dale C. of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is further survived by sister, Bertha I. Wallace, Joyce J. Nowacki, Sandra J. Parks, brother, Emil H. (Janet) Bohn, and sisters-in-law, Beverly J. Mlodzik, Patricia J. Bohn, Merle A. Bohn and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lois Z. Erdmann, brothers, Martin W. Bohn, Arnold H. Bohn, brothers-in-law, Harry R. Wallace Sr., John N. Nowacki, Richard R. Mlodzik and nephew, Michael L. Bohn, grandparents, Emil T. and Bertha E. (Buschke) Bohn and Ora M. and Iana D. (Lamb) Starks.A graveside service for Arlene will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 11:00 am at Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin, WI with Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating.The family expresses their sincere thanks to all the people who sent cards, wishes and visits. A special thanks to Sandy Clayton, Reverend Dr. Kevin P.
