Rendezvous with Destiny

Armand A. Comiré 80, of Littleton, NH passed away at home on July 1, 2024. He was born October 31, 1943, in Danielson, CT. The sixth of eight children born to Albert & Jeanette Comiré.

Armand attended St. James Catholic School and later on in life, continued his studies at White Mountains Community College with a degree in psychology. 1964 came and he joined the Army. He did his training at Fort Campbell, KY. There he became a Paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division, 506th Infantry Regiment. Two years later he proudly was sent off to Vietnam. This is where he became severely wounded. In 1966 he earned his purple heart, sixteen years later he was awarded one. Armand carried his scars with pride. He was after all a Screaming Eagle Paratrooper!

He married Carole (Nadeau) of Plainfield, CT and together welcomed a daughter. In 1970 he was Honorably discharged from the Army, and quickly became a Connecticut State Police officer. Wanting a better life for his family, they moved to New Hampshire. It was the 80's and he fell in love with the scenery of his new home. There he also became a part time police officer of Littleton & Twin Mt departments. Armand married his second wife, Sharon (Stillings) 15 years ago. Many good times and laughs were shared between the two of them.

Littleton Office Supply as a copier repairman, Jax Jr. Cinemas Head projectonist and even substitute teaching were jobs he carried. Before retiring, he worked at The Department of Health and Human Services (Littleton) as a social worker. With his charming smile, deep laugh, many stories of him racing motorcycles, surviving Vietnam and going on car chases as an officer, made anyone glad to know Armand. A proud member of the American Legion (Whitefield) and later a lifetime member of the VFW Post 816 (Littleton). He enjoyed The Dalton Gang of NH (Dalton) and target practicing at Alder Brook Sportsman Club with family & friends.

A trip to Alaska with his long time friend was a huge trip for him. Lots of stories & photos returned from that trip. Spending time with his daughter, grandsons, family and friends were always high on his priority list.

Armand is survived by his Caretaker/wife Sharon (Stillings) of Littleton. A daughter, Danielle M. Stark, son in law Frank Murphy, three grandsons, Joshua & Chase Stark, and Cole Vashaw all of Whitefield. Siblings, Estelle (Ernie) Coutu, Roland (Joan) Comiré, and Alfred Comiré. Close family friends Eric (Jennifer) McNail & Family of Littleton.

Pre-deceased by his ex-wife of 36years Carole (Nadeau) Comiré. Siblings, Marlene Raines, Blanche (Rusty) Campbell, Eugene (Joyce) Comiré, Claude Comiré and son in law, Josh J. Stark.
