Arnette Mathews, beloved mother, grandmother, and community member, passed away on August 4, 2024 in Houston, Texas, United States. She was born on April 30, 1960 to Arnell and Glodies Mathews.

Arnette is survived by her devoted daughter, Bridgette Banks, and son-in-law Bravonn Banks SR. She was a loving grandmother to four grandchildren.

She attended Phillis Wheatley High School and graduated in 1979. Arnette then continued her education at Texas Southern University, where she graduated in 1983.

Arnette was passionate about giving back to the community and was actively involved in the Given Back to the Community during the holidays organization. She spent her free time enjoying hobbies like spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Arnette Mathews will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
