Arnold J. Kopetsky, age 79, of 1620 Blue Heron Dr., Two Rivers, died on Thursday afternoon, September 20, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.He was born on June 1, 1933 in Two Rivers, son of the late Wenzel and Esther (Ruminski) Kopetsky. Arnold was a graduate of Two Rivers Washington High School with the class of 1950. He entered the
U.S. Air Force in 1950 and received his honorable discharge in 1954. On March 17, 1956 Arnold married Martha Herring in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Arnie and Marty owned and operated Arnie's Appliance Center in Two Rivers for many years until their retirement in 1994. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Mother of Hope Council 1957, Two Rivers Kiwanis, the Two Rivers
Elks Lodge # 1380 and the Two Rivers Business Association.Survivors include his wife : Marty, Two Rivers; two daughters and sons-in-law: Cindy and Bob Nate, Wesley Chapel, FL, Linda and Tom Nies, Green Bay; five grandchildren: Josh and Ryan Sepnafski, Allie Nate, Samantha and Jessica Hunter; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Marvin and Genal Kopetsky, Indianapolis, IN, Allen Kopetsky, Two Rivers; one sister and brother-in-law: Marian and Eddie Gilbert, Antigo; three God children: Cheryl Barwick, Julie Kresal, Jeff Kopetsky; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Simon and Margaret Herring, Pete Herring and fiancé Peggy, Shirley Herring; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Edna and James Morton. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.He was also preceded in death by an infant brother: John; his step mother: Solveig Kopetsky; a sister-in-law: LouAnn Kopetsky; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Charles and Pauline Herring, Franklin Herring, James and Emma Jean Herring and Barbara Herring; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Sadie and Herbert Hinson, Vernell and Wayne Baker.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 24, 2012 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, September 24, 2012 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM.Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting
