Arthur A. Herman, age 79, born on July 6, 1936 in New Salem, PA. The son of the late Arthur O, and Pearl (Martin) Herman. He was a graduate of North Union High School, class of 1955, served as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division 188th combat team, served as a Pennsylvania Conservation Officer, and retired from state service as a Criminal Investigator at I.U.P., with thirty-three years of state service. Married in 1957 to Carolyn (Sybert) Herman who preceded him in death in 2001. Surviving is 1 daughter, Pamela J. (Kurt) Scott, of Homosassa, FL; 2 sons, Arthur J. (Leslie J.) Herman, of Sigel, PA; Shawn L. (Brandy J.) Herman, of Home, PA; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister Betty Hudak of Ohio. He is preceded in death by 1 sister Helen Duttko. Family and friends were received on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at the McKinney – d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18, 2015, also at the McKinney – d'Argy Funeral Home with the Rev. Jess Shingler officiating. Interment was at the Coolspring Cemetery in Oliver Twp., Jefferson Co.
