ANSTEY, Arthur "John"It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce Arthur "John" Anstey passed away on July 29, 2017 in Edmonton, Alberta.He was born on February 22, 1930 in Edmonton, Alberta. On July 19, 1952, he married his wonderful wife, Dorothy in Wales, UK and enjoyed 65 years together during which time they raised five children.Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; children, Louise Miners, David (Marie), Susan (Brian) Houlihan, Leslie (Karen), his ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren as well as numerous family and friends in Canada and Wales, UK. He was predeceased by his son Edward, sister Gwyneth Hobbins, son-in-law Larry Miners, his parents Leslie and Mary Anstey and his brother David.John will be best remembered for his quick wit, his love of gardening, the outdoors, music and his amazing puzzle building.As per his wishes, he was cremated and there will be no service.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Cross Cancer Society or the Alberta Diabetes Foundation.
