Arthur D. KerrBonita Springs, FLArthur D. Kerr, 89, of Bonita Springs, FL and Hendersonville, NC, has gone to be with the Lord. On October 27, 2017 Arthur passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side. He was born on October 2, 1928 in Boston, MA a son of the late Arthur Kerr and Helen (Flagg) Kerr.Arthur grew up in Dorchester, MA where he attended Boston Public Schools. He served his country in WWII as a member of the US Army Air Force. When Arthur returned from WWII, he started working in construction and became a foreman and a member of Local 33 Carpenters Union of Boston. He remained a member of Local 33 for 40 years. In 1964 Arthur founded K and H Contractors, Inc., and in 1970 he founded ADK Sales, Inc., and was president of both companies until his retirement in 1991. He was an avid golfer, reader, and Patriots fan, and he enjoyed traveling. Arthur was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs and a former member of Bonita Bay Club.He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Judith (Trask) Kerr; four daughters - Linda J. (the late Robert) Pickering of Whitman, MA; Susan E. (Kenneth) Reichert of Bridgewater, MA; Karen A. (Stephen) Russell of Colorado Springs, CO; and Sandra M. (Mark) Jones of Weymouth, MA. Arthur also leaves fourteen grandchildren - Jillian Pickering, Robert Pickering, Ellen Pickering, Kenneth Reichert, Julie King, John Reichert, Michael Reichert, Daniel Russell, Meredith Draper, Jeffrey Russell, Lauren Lawrence, Kathleen Skovran, Ryan Jones and Taylor Jones - and 20 great-grandchildren. Also surviving him are his two brothers-in-law, William Trask of Carver, MA and Robert (Deborah) Trask of Merritt Island, FL. Besides his parents, Arthur is preceded in death by his two brothers, William and Frank, and his sister, Margaret.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs.
