Herman, Arthur E.Arthur E. Herman, age 69, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at his residence.Art was born on September 24, 1946 in Manitowoc to the late Earl and Geraldine Nuhs Herman. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1964. Art completed his education by obtaining an Associates Degree from Acme School of Engineering. He had retired from Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry after more than 40 years of employment with them. Art was a member of Viking Bow and Gun Club, Autumn Ridge Golf Course, and various snowmobile/ATV clubs. He enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, going to his cabin up north, and riding his Harley Davidson.Survivors include Art's son: Randy J. (Terry) Herman, Lonsdale, MN; daughter: Rhonda S. (Peter) McDonough, Montgomery, TX; stepson: Jason (Crystal) Selsing, Maribel; significant other: Kay Petersohn, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Jordan Walters and Ethan Selsing; two sisters: Ellen (David) Hlinak, Denver, NC; and Judy (Donny) Mootz, Merrill; also other relatives and friends. Art was preceded in death by his parents: Earl and Geraldine Herman; and brother: Earl "Bud" Herman.A service of shared thoughts and memories by Art's family and friends will take place at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Art's 70th birthday, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
