JAWORSKI Arthur P.”Art” Arthur P. “Art” Jaworski, age 88, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at The Manor at Perrysburg surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 10, 1928, to Felix and Josephine (Ostrowski) Jaworski in Hamtramck, MI. Arthur served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was the owner of Sam's Drugs on Lagrange St. for many years. Upon selling the business he went on to work for Rite Aid Pharmacy. Art's memberships included T.A.P.S. and the Toledo Pharmaceutical Association. He was a former parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church and currently of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania. In his younger years he coached the 4th Ward “Orange Socks” baseball team. A passionate supporter of the performing arts, his favorite musical was “Carousel”. Art played the accordion with the “Trick Brothers” Polka band. The evening before he passed away he was shuffling his feet to his favorite Polkas. Art is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (Robert) Belsole of Perrysburg, OH; sons, Arthur J. (Sue) Jaworski and David (Laurie) Jaworski of Toledo; grandchildren, Rick (Megan) Perz III, Kelly (Kevin Cox) Perz, Andrew (Samantha) Worden, Jessica (Chris Severin) Jaworski and Jodi Gilford; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Delaney, Jordan, Bryson, Ayla, Madisyn and Brayden; sisters-in-law, Suzanne (John) Lackner and Dorothy Jaworski; and brother-in-law, Daniel (Phylis) Kruzel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Jaworski; brother, Henry Jaworski; nephew, Terry Jaworski; and great-granddaughter, Makena. Family and friends may visit on Monday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. in the Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania at 10:00 a.m. Services will conclude with Military Honors presented by the Lucas County Burial Corps in Toledo Memorial Park.
