Arthur "Pete" WahlChesapeake - Arthur H. "Pete" Wahl, born on Sept. 28, 1929, in Atkinson, NE, passed away surrounded by his family on Dec. 11, 2016. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Olive (Riley) Wahl, and his wife, Beverly Ann (Thomas) Wahl. Pete joined the Navy SeaBees in 1947 where he served the nation for over 20 years. Pete had a diversified career thereafter and retired from Sears after many years of service. He was a Mason and member of the Khedive Horse Patrol. After retirement, Pete enjoyed traveling in his motorhome visiting friends and family across the U.S. Pete was survived by his daughter, Debra W. Maples, her husband, Mark and children, Christian and Michelle, son, Walter H. Wahl and wife, Marilyn; his companion, MaryAnn Moyer; his brother and sisters, Gene (wife Sharon), Gloria, and Marilyn; a multitude of nieces and nephews, and great grandchildren, both 2 legged and 4 legged. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. The service to celebrate his life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, in the funeral home chapel.
