Arthur William Graham, 75, of Selden, New York, passed on May 31, 2020.
Art was born in the Bronx, NY, on July 11, 1944. He grew up with his Mother - Bertha, Father - William, and younger Brother – Alan, in Levittown, NY.
After earning an Associates in Arts degree at Farmingdale College in New York, Art attended the University of Georgia, completing a Master’s degree in Food & Dairy Science. At age 22, he became the youngest Plant Manager for Ralston Purina in Cincinnati, Ohio. He went on to have a successful career primarily in Quality Control for large organizations, including Lipton Tea,
Burger King, and Pizza Hut. At age 32, Art became the Managing Director of Pizza Hut’s entire Canadian Region. He later became President of a large Commercial Pest Elimination company based in Miami, Florida. From that position, he formed his own consulting company called Graham Sage to educate companies on how to use Total Quality Management techniques to better their businesses. Art retired to Costa Rica and was known there as “Arturo,” where he
enjoyed the beautiful year-round weather and spending time with his friends. He later moved back to New York to be closer to his family.
Art loved listening to 50s & 60s music and knew the singers of every song. He would say, “Who sang this for 25 cents?” He always won the challenge.
Art traveled the world, visiting over 60 countries, New Zealand being his favorite. He also traveled to the Antarctic on a Russian expedition vessel, a one-of-a-kind experience.
Art is survived by his two Sons, Greg (Coleen) and Sean (Trish), his daughter, Eliza (Marc), their Mother, Judy, his brother, Alan (Lynn), Niece, Stacey, and Nephew, Scott, and all their children.
Art rests in peace at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
