Asa Jimerson, 91, of San Diego died Oct. 4. After long battle with cancer. He was born in Milledgeville, Ga., and worked in production control at North Island Naval Air Station.
He was retired from the Marine Corps and was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Jimerson; daughters, Sheila McKnight and Sydney Jimerson of San Diego, Edith Jimerson of Fredericksburg, Va., and Pamela Robinson of San Diego; sons, Eric Jimerson of San Diego, Ronnie Jimerson of Puyallup, Wash., Alvin Jimerson of Vancouver, Wash., and Noland Jimerson of Los Angeles; sisters, Marion Lowe of Mystic, Conn., and Betty Warmach of Maryland; brothers, Benjamin Jimerson of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Noah Jimerson of Detroit; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
