Asunoya Shenae Sanni was born on December 25,1978,to her loving parents Sharon Elaine Sanni Nelson and Alfa Abdulai Sanni. Asunoya was proceeded in death by her Mother Sharon Elaine Sanni Nelson, Grandmother Mildred White, and Aunt Stephanie Davis.
Asunoya grew up in Pasadena, CA where she developed a love for entertainment. Shewasvery creativeandhad many talents. She was a writer, dancer, rapper, and producer. She created the Junk Yard Band at a young age. She has recorded songs with her cousins Kovan and Andriea (Muffy). She currently has a published book entitledBrutal Courage: The Remixwhich can be found on Amazon. She loved working with the youth. She was excited and passionate about the dance team that she was putting together. She has touched many with her passion for entertainment.
Asunoyawas baptized as a Jehovah Witness andproudly expressed her love for Jehovah. One of her favorite scriptures was Revelation 21:4, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. For the former things have passed away.”Let’srejoice that we will see Asunoya again one day!
She leaves to cherish her memory: children Yatice Sanni (Darren), Rodney Gilkey, Steven Sanni, and Myumi Jones: three sisters Rachel Sanni, Briana Wellington, and Mariama Sanni and brother Ikhelowa Sanni ; grandchildren Dara Thurston and Dajian Thurston: and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,family, and friends.
