Atiifa Muhammad was born December 12, 1938, in Riyadh, Ar Riyāḑ, Saudi Arabia to Mecca Muhammad and Rasheed Muhammad. She went on to become an amazing poet and writer receiving many awards and accommodation for her work. She is survived by her husband, four children, and six grandchildren. Atiifa lost her battle with cancer on March 10, 2018, in Atlanta Georgia.
