Audrey Mack Ohrwall1926 - 2014Audrey Erika Marie Mack Ohrwall, 87, of Evergreen, Colo., passed away peacefully at Life Care Center of Evergreen on Feb. 6, 2014. Audrey was born on Feb. 26, 1926 in Chicago, Ill., to Ingeborg (Larsen) and Frank Mack. She grew up in the Chicago area, attended Carthage College in Kenosha, WI and was admitted to law school in Chicago but decided to marry Clayton Ohrwall of Crystal Lake, Ill., on May 24, 1947, instead.Audrey and Clayton later moved to the Twin Lakes, Wis., area where they raised their four children, Jeff, Kirby, Carol and Scott. Audrey taught 5th grade at Riverview Elementary in Silver Lake, Wis., and then moved to Lakewood Elementary in Twin Lakes, Wis., where she taught junior high English for over 10 years. Audrey was respected by her peers and well-liked by her students and was known for setting students on a college bound path.Audrey and Clayton retired to Ellenton, Fla., until Claytons death in 1987. She then moved and spent time with family in Racine, Wis., San Antonio, Tex., until finally moving to Evergreen, Colo., with her daughters family in 2009. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, art, reading, crossword puzzles, Shanghai and measuring people for clothes that were never made.She is preceded in death by husband, Clayton Ohrwall, brother, Frank Mack, and grandsons, Michael Pyszka and Paul Ohrwall. She is survived by children, Carol (Robert) Henry of Evergreen, Colo., Jeffrey Ohrwall of Racine, Wis., Kirby (Ellen) Ohrwall of Palmetto, Fla., and Scott Ohrwall of San Antonio, Tex.; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Cindy) Ohrwall II, Jon (Chris) Ohrwall, Jaime (Randy) Nelson, Laura (William) Chambers, Shannon Henry, Brianne (Liston) Hills and Joshua (Megan) Henry; great-grandchildren, Brett, Brady, Brandy and Steven Ohrwall, Joey and Leah May, Isabella and Neko Nelson, Holly Chambers, Molly and Jillian Hills, and Logan Henry; and sisters-in-law, Kathryn Wolfarth and Loretta Mack.Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park in Evergreen, Colo. Remembrances may be made at www.EvergreenMemorialPark.com. An additional service will take place at a later date in Wisconsin followed by interment at McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock, Ill.
