RACINE - Audrey Ruth Shields, age 89, passed away on November 4, 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan All-Saints Hospital. Audrey was born on June 15, 1926 in Baltimore, MD to Benjamin and Sarah (nee Cherry) Shields. She moved to Racine, WI when she was 20. Audrey ran a printing press at Twin Disc for 28 years, retiring in 1982. Audrey was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. She enjoyed making hand crafts and doing bead work. She especially enjoyed going to Door County with her best friend and companion, Edna Peterson. Audrey is survived by her friend of 69 years, Edna Peterson, Ednas family and friends. A memorial service for Audrey will be held on Tuesday, November 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 3319 Washington Avenue. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place at Mound Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wilsonfuneralhomeracine.com.
