Avery Knight, beloved father, grandfather, and barber extraordinaire, passed away on July 18, 2024, in Gary, Indiana at the age of 50.

Born on March 24, 1974, to Avery Knight and Rebeena Franklin, Avery leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by his seven children: De'Shay Booker, Kalia Knight, Kayla Knight, Teah Stokes, Jade Stokes, Ka'niya Jones, and Kawon Knight.

Avery had a passion for cutting hair, which led him to pursue his education at Lew Wallace High School, where he graduated in 1992. He continued his studies at Ivy Tech and graduated in 2008, honing his skills as a talented barber.

Known for his infectious smile and witty sense of humor, Avery brightened the lives of everyone he met. He adored his two grandchildren and cherished the time spent with them.

Avery will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering dedication to his family, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
