It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Butch Carstarphen, of Mobile, Alabama. Born on February 26, 1942, Butch lived a life full of laughter and love until his passing on June 5, 2024.

Butch, also known as the King of Dad Jokes, was the beloved partner of Elaine Carstarphen and the proud father of Kate Carstarphen, Adrian Carstarphen, and Cecilia James.

Butch had a knack for playing solitaire like a pro and could always be counted on to bring a smile to everyone's face with his hilarious jokes. He was known for his quick wit and infectious laughter, making every moment spent with him a memorable one.

In addition to his children, Butch leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren; Jan Carstarphen, KaTodra Carstarphen, Jacob Carstarphen, Jay Carstarphen, Morg Wright, Cam Carstarphen, Aidan Carstarphen, and Kaitlyn James whom he adored more than anything in the world. They know how deeply they were loved by their Grandpa Butch.

Butch will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. In his memory, let us carry on his legacy of laughter and joy, and always remember to find the humor in life's moments, just as he did.
