Barbara Kerns, 70, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed on October 16, 2021. Barbara was born on January 23, 1951 in Kelton, SC. A resident of Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late William "Buck" Lindsay and Mittie Ruth Smith.

Barbara attended B.E. May's. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she served on the choir and worked in the kitchen. Throughout her life she worked at Converse College, Stouffer's(Nestlé), and Cryovac. She was a avid softball player better known as "Too hot" by her teammates and opponents because nothing or no one was getting passed her. Barbara never met a person who's heart she didn't touch by making them smile and laugh.

Barbara leaves behind three children; A son, Trevor Johnson of Brooklyn, NY; Two daughters, Cass Johnson of Brooklyn, NY, and Ebony Kerns of Duncan, SC; A brother, William Lindsay, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA; seven grandchildren that she adored, Mark Stokes, Jr., Jarmore' Dixon, MJ Sims, Ma'Vion Sims, Galayzia Brown, Ghayla Brown, and George Brown, Jr.; Three Aunts, a host of cousins, long living relatives, and friends.
