Barbara Sue Taylor-Foust was born on September 2, 1950 to the late William Henry Taylor and Mary Susie Atkinson-Taylor. She was called to eternal rest on July 19, 2023 at the age of 72, of Covington, Georgia.
She attended Greenville City Schools. She graduated from C.M. Eppes High School in 1968. Upon completion of high school she attended Elizabeth City State University, in Elizabeth City, NC. While receiving her BS degree in sociology, she also pledged to the AKA sorority and became a sister of the AKA sorority.
During her childhood to young adult hood she was a member of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church.
After completion of college she enlisted in the U.S. Army for 2 years and was stationed at Fort Devens, Devens Massachusetts.
Upon completion of service, she relocated to Bridgeport, CT where she was employed by the state of Connecticut, as a social worker. She retired from the state of Connecticut after 25 years of service. She had a good life in Connecticut where she went on many cruises, trips to NY to plays, shopping trips, and enjoyed life to the fullest.
After retiring she relocated to Covington, GA to be close to her daughter, Tassanee.
She was proceeded in death by her mother & father "Bud & Sue" Taylor, her sister Alice V. Clifton, her brother Willie Alton Dyer; 1 niece Alice Dyer, 2 nephews Jerry JJ. Jeter Jr & Charles Henry Cannon.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Tassanee S. Jones (Shamone), Her 3 beautiful granddaughters Sa'Mya Jones, Amani Jones & Aliyah Jones. 1 sister Velma Jeter Stephen (Tommy) 1 nephew raised in the home, Lonnie Dyer, 1 sister in law Mildred Dyer, a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, and a host of friends in Bridgeport CT & Greenville, NC.
