Barbara A. CarmonyBarbara A. (Davidson) Carmony, age 76, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Sunset Village where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 15, 1940 to Ansel and Annie E. (Smart) Davidson. Barbara was a 1959 graduate for Libbey High School and later that year she married her husband, Russell Carmony in Toledo. She was a member of St. Clement Church, Redmen (Pocahontas), American Volksporting Assn. (walking club), Life Member of the Toledo Zoo. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, and playing cards. One of her favorite pastimes was taking trips with her grandkids to the zoo, even ones out of state. She was very proud she had walked all the counties in Ohio.Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 57 years, Ray; children, Tim (Cheryl) Carmony, Julie (Lynn) Johnson, and Deb Riffle; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Verna Mae Schwartz, Alma Jean (Bernal) Tate, and Joyce Davidson.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Geraldine Leisure and Debby Sue Davidson; brother, Ansel Davidson; son-in-law, Christopher Riffle.The family will receive guests on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 3-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. with her Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:30 p.m. at St. Clement Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd. with Rev. Albert Ceranowski officiating.
